Frog Awareness Day 1 December 2012
Frog Awareness day 1 December 2012
A day of fun and education.
The frog market held at Shapes of Africa commenced from 10am with a variety of fresh food produce and hand crafts on sale. A talk by Jeanne Tarrant was held at the gazebo at 5pm and live frog specimens were brought for display in from Ushaka reptile centre. Visitors then watched the swallows and after roosting all were relocated to Froggy Pond viewing site were frog calls were identified whilst we stood and admired the fireflies. To finish off the evening young Adam released a toad back into the wild.
