Project Area I. Mdloti River Banks
River banks infested with thick Pepper trees, bug weed, syringa etc. There are only approximately 35% of indigenous
trees present, downstream towards N2 gum tree farming. Gum trees recently harvested at main Scary Cliffs no
rehabilitation was done and now is just an alien jungle. Cliff face of Scary Cliffs main is dissected horizontally
in half by a narrow rocky road trail, cliff face almost vertical. Infested with Triffid, lantana etc.
Lots of streptocarpus, Scadoxis, Kippersol and a variety of indigenous vegetation present. Fish eagles seen often,
Jacana, water monitor, rabbit, Vervet monkeys.
